Our Story
We knew, on some level, that sex trafficking children was a widespread issue throughout the U.S. and the world. We read articles, we watched the news, but it never 'clicked' as to just how bad it really was.
We had a standing lunch date every week, and week after week, it became our main topic of conversation. The more we talked about it, the heavier our hearts.
We felt so helpless... We were only talking about it, but not taking actions to stop or prevent it... How do we even begin to help?
Sure, we would share articles on social media and discuss it with anyone who would listen (even those that did not want to hear it), but we were not changing anything, we were not helping the cause itself.
Then, one day during a lunch date, all of that changed. We had an idea that would give us the opportunity to truly make a difference for these young victims, and that is how Freedom's Wings Foundation was formed.
Our Mission
Freedom’s Wings Foundation is one of the first nonprofit charities in the country that will offer care specifically tailored for victims of child sex trafficking and sexually abused and exploited children.
Our mission is to build a community where every child matters. A place where children will know they are valued and protected.
We want to create an environment where their safety, mental health, and overall well-being is top priority.
When our dream to open the doors of our facility is complete, we plan to have an onsite child psychologist working with our young survivors to overcome the short and long-term effects of sexual abuse.
Every child deserves a chance to have a healthy, nurturing childhood, no matter their circumstances. We want to support them in their journey to healing.
Our Vision
We will open our first resale consignment boutique in Orange County mid 2021.
With revenue generated from our boutique, nonprofit grants, and generous donations from our community and beyond, our goal is to have our therapeutic housing up and running by January 2022.
